About Credly badges

  • What is a Credly digital badge?

A digital badge is a secure, verifiable digital credential that shows off your skills and achievements. Badges can be displayed all over the digital sphere, from your email signature to social media like LinkedIn.

  • What courses will award me a badge?

You will be awarded a badge for any course on the Intopia Learn platform that requires Knowledge Checks to complete. These courses include:

    • Designing for web accessibility
    • Designing for mobile accessibility
    • Developing for web accessibility
    • Developing for iOS accessibility
    • Developing for Android accessibility
    • Testing for web accessibility
    • Making PDFs accessible
    • Creating accessible content
    • Creating accessible Word documents
    • Digital accessibility fundamentals (both versions)
  • How do I claim my badge?

Once you complete 100% of any eligible course, a badge will be automatically awarded to you. You'll receive an email from Credly with 24-48 hours of completing the course, with instructions on how to claim your badge. It's totally free, and completely optional to claim.

  • Do I need a Credly account to claim my badge?

Yes, you'll need to sign up for a free Credly account to claim your badge. Please refer to Credly's support page if you run into troubles.

  • I want to claim a badge for a course I completed in the past.

If you have completed a course prior to our Credly rollout and would like to discuss receiving a badge, please contact us via email or phone.

  • Is Credly accessible?

We have conducted an internal review of the Credly platform and found minimal accessibility concerns, with no significant barriers to setting up a profile or claiming a badge.

We found two potentially critical barriers on the general Credly site, which may affect some users.

    • All pages (web): When the main menu button is opened, page scroll is disabled. This may restrict user access to lower menu items when browser is magnified.
    • Logged in pages (mobile): On modal flows, focus is set on new page load to the ‘Next’ button at the bottom of the page. This was encountered when customising a profile.

The affected flows are not necessary to set up a profile or claim a badge.
